Dave Kraus

Quantitative Analyst

Mr. Kraus joined Commonwealth in 2008 after a multi-year relationship with the firm as an independent consultant. Previously Dave was the Financial Systems Director for MCM Capital Management before launching his own firm, Practical Business Solutions, in 2003. Since 2003, Mr. Kraus’s firm, Practical Business Solutions, has provided information systems and performance analysis consulting to investment advisors. In his work with Commonwealth, Mr. Kraus designed and implemented a performance composite management system that enabled the firm to achieve its goal of AIMR-PPS, now GIPS, compliance. His consulting work for RIAs also included soft dollar management, client reporting systems development, and process automation. With Commonwealth, Mr. Kraus will serve as a Quantative Analyst, and focus on maintaining the loss monitoring and modeling system that he developed for the firm in 2008. Mr. Kraus is a CFA Level II candidate.

Mr. Kraus received his BA with honors in Economics from the University of Dayton in 1988 and his MBA from SUNY Buffalo in 1990.
